Coming from a low-income background and living in an environment with Limited English Proficiency is hard for my kindergarten students to make these relations on their own. I believe every child in my class has the potential needed to take on this exciting subject with enthusiasm and dedication, but they need concrete materials to help them practice and relate the concepts on the board with hands-on activities.
