I'm excited to start my third year at Lafayette Academy (MS256) teaching ESL to the most amazing 6th - 8th grade classes of ELLs (English Language Learners) in Manhattan, New York. My students keep me on my toes and never cease to amaze me with their endearing wit, charm, humor, and curiosity about life and learning. We are a small middle school with very limited resources. Many of my students have just arrived in New York from a variety of countries and face extreme financial hardship at home. As a teacher, I am so grateful to all who contribute to Donors Choose to help these awesome young people!

About my class
