Many students require accommodations and specialized instruction in a resource room setting to support their academic, social, and emotional growth. These supports are essential for students with learning differences, executive functioning challenges, and other individualized needs. The resource room provides targeted instruction, small-group support, and appropriate accommodations that help students access the same curriculum, expectations, and opportunities as their peers. By offering these supports and materials for learning, we are not giving students an advantage, but rather creating equitable experiences—ensuring all students have access to the tools, instruction, and learning environment necessary to succeed alongside their classmates.
