Our class has a group of students that are unbelievable. They have challenges but face them head on and overcome them everyday. They are eager to learn with excitement. We are a rare class. Even though we have our learning challenges, we still participate in STEM to the best of our abilities. We learn all of the core subjects but we extend it with STEM. This helps with problem solving skills that my students really need. We are a school with over 80% of our students on free or reduced lunch. Our school district was hit hard by Harvey. Our students and our school are still trying to recover. We are a class of overcomers. We are strong, we are determined, we are smart.
