My students are urban children attending their local public school in Oregon. They are active, friendly, and love new experiences. Most have always lived in the city and have never seen a farm except for a visit to the pumpkin patch. In this unit, my students will experience math, science, language arts and art. At the end of the unit we will visit a farm. When this day comes I hope my students will have a real understanding of how farms work.
