Over half of my students come from low-socioeconomic backgrounds and have not been exposed to or use technology. I arrive before school at 7:00 am. to help my at-risk students by providing learning intervention to them and their parents. These students have not attended preschool and their parents are illiterate. These dedicated parents and children wait for me to arrive rain or shine in the morning. These parents have stated that they are learning to read along with their children during my before school intervention. I am in a position to help my students and their parents. The iPad designed by Apple would be helpful for my before school intervention, as well as the scheduled school day. I want to teach effective technology use in small intervention groups using graphics and visual aids.
