In my classroom my students are eager to learn and practice what they have learned. These books are to help my students to improve their reading skills. At school my students have guided reading books (books at their reading level) they read with me in small groups. Once they go home they don’t have books at their level, therefore they don’t get to practice at home. I would like for my students to have the opportunity to select interesting books at their level to take home and read to their family. They will bring them back and switch them for other book. Having these books will help them advance in their reading, which is so important for them at this age.
