My students are extremely bright, curious 7-year olds in the District of Columbia. Most of their families are from Central America and many speak English as they're second language. Their interests vary from video games, fashion, animals, sports, and more. Our school has a fantastic community, complete with a mission and core values. Our students learn this mission and core values by heart and they are reminded of these values everyday in multiple ways. We also emphasize perseverance as the most important value. Students understand that perseverance is extremely important and they learn to never give up on difficult problems.
