The chapter books and bookcases listed in this project will have a direct, positive impact on my fifth grade students both this year and in years to come. The students are very excited to have new and engaging literature to incorporate into our daily classroom library. It is important to reach ALL readers, including reluctant readers by providing student selected literature of various genres. When students are able to truly connect with the characters of their books, this helps form an emotional bond that is the springboard for future learning.
