Our students love visiting their school library. The only drawback is the uncomfortable and unsafe seating. Overall, the chairs are ill-fitting for the tables. Also, they are too heavy for the students to move away from the table. Some students end up stepping into the chair to sit down in it. Other times, the chairs are so heavy and unwieldy, as one teacher described it when a student was trying to separate two chairs in order to sit in one of them, she said, "they are wrestling each other." Our students need chairs that they can easily sit in and feel comfortable in while they are visiting the library. Our students have a hard time pulling the chairs out and pushing them in. They are more apt to hurt themselves just by trying to sit down and enjoy a book because of the heavy, oddly shaped chairs that are currently in the library. Also, a few of them are broken.
