I co-teach an integrated, inclusive third grade class. Brooklyn New School/PS 146 is an alternative public school that admits students by lottery from various Brooklyn neighborhoods. Our school is intentionally diverse racially, ethnically, and economically. At each grade level there is one Collaborative Team Teaching class that integrates special ed and regular ed students. The school uses a project-based approach in which students learn through direct investigation with materials and on trips, and in which students showcase their understanding through projects they make.
