My second grade students are mostly second language learners living below the poverty line. They come to school everyday eager to learn, like a sponge soaking up water. My second graders love using technology and many only get to use computers when they are at school. Going to the computer lab once a week for 30 minutes is just not enough exposure or practice on a computer! The school has a diverse population: 57% Hispanic/Latino, 29% Asian, 10% White, and the rest is a mix of ethnicities.
