I have a classroom of 23 first grade students with 12 girls and 11 boys. I have one in a wheelchair, one with severe hearing difficulties and has never attended public school and one student with a heart monitor. Challenging- No...we are just learning how to cope with what life throws at us and we are learning to be helpful. We are a title One school and my students don't have the things they always want but they do have the things they need. I want to make it possible to give them some of the things they want. My kids may be short on funds but they are high on creativity.
