My students are wonderful English Language Learners who are extremely motivated. Most cannot yet read or write and unfortunately, they come from homes where their parents cannot read to them in English. The only English they are exposed to is in my classroom, and unfortunately, I cannot always accommodate the literacy needs of all 25 of my students. My hope is that with a new rug and audio center, my students will be motivated and become lifelong learners.
