I have a classroom with students with special needs. The students are in kindergarten through second grade. I have a wide variety of disabilities in my classroom. I have mostly kids that are on the autism spectrum. My students each learn in their own individual way. They learn best with technology and hands-on materials. The school district I teach in is a very low income school district. The vast majority of the students are on free and reduced lunch. The students in my district and school come from tough home lives and poor situations. I try to give my students every opportunity to succeed in school.
