The students in our urban school live in a high poverty area. We serve free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. Budgets are low and so spending on some items is hard to justify. I am trying to provide materials to enhance instruction that my budget does not allow for in the Library Media Center. Items I receive can potentially be used by every student in the building, so they can have a great impact on student learning and discovery. I am trying to build a maker-space environment in our project-based learning STEAM school.
