My students attend CISD where almost half of the students are economically disadvantaged. They are all children diagnosed as intellectually disabled and have visual impairments. Some are in wheelchairs and some have scary health problems, but all are capable of learning new things. Along with these disabilities comes the lack of motor skills, severe speech delays, and debilitating visual impairments. We are working on being as independent as possible in school and the community so that one day they will be able to live on their own, take care of themselves, and hold a job!

About my class
