I am teaching a very diverse group of 3rd graders at a California Title 1 school that is mainly English Language Learners with many financial difficulties. I have many English language learners and some students with learning disabilities that affect their learning in various ways. I have some students with attention issues, and others with processing disorders. About 75% of our school receives a free lunch because of financial difficulty. Any opportunity for them to get information in a variety of ways is welcomed. Even though they have a wide range of learning issues, they can all learn through the use of technology! They are capable of using this technology and enjoy using a variety of devices at school because many of them do not have that outside the classroom. Integrating technology into classroom instruction significantly increases student learning and engagement.
