We recently read "Oh, The Places You Will Go!" by Dr. Seuss in my classroom. My students then set individual goals and classroom goals for the year. They are eager and motivated to better themselves academically. My students practice Sean Covey's "7 Habits of Healthy Kids" which teaches them to be responsible students with good character as well as demonstrate leadership in all that they do. My students want to improve their reading skills using both fiction and non-fiction texts, but we need more resources. We decided to practice Habit 1, be proactive, and ask you to help us reach our goals. Using Habit 2, begin with the end in mind, we came up with a plan to help the entire class reach their goals. We must begin by obtaining the materials needed to make their goals a reality. Habit 6 is synergize, which means together is better. Are you willing to synergize with us and help my students reach their goals?
