This program will help approximately 98 students in grades 9-12 who are reading at or below the 4th grade reading level. We cannot expect these students to improve their literacy skills unless they are given authentic materials they can engage and interact with. Unfortunately, these students often go through entire school days without reading anything at all because we do not have texts written on their level. Our students want to improve their reading! They want to pass their drivers examinations, score proficient on their state tests, and lead independent, fulfilling lives after they graduate!
