I am the school librarian at a PreK to 8 public school in Baltimore City. I'm thrilled by the enthusiasm my students show for coming to the library and checking out books. My students love to read. I believe a library can offer more than books. Libraries should be filled with many innovative materials that encourage students to explore new ideas. Technology is an important tool for both research and exploration that leads students to discover new areas of learning. Our library also contains makerspace areas for students to develop their creativity in a variety of fields.
