Students in my classroom come from high poverty, low literacy education homes. Any time that we can expose students to forms of literature we are creating a stronger connection to the world as a whole. Many students have frequent times that parents are unable to even afford basic needs. These worries in the home decreases the amount of time parents can spend ensuring the students' school work is on target and/or allow them exposure to the written word.

About my class
