I teach kindergarten at the largest elementary school in the state of Alabama. I am one of the 14 kindergarten teachers at our school and the average kinder-class size is 20 students (no aide). We are a Title I school with 80% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. The ethnic and socioeconomic diversity makes our job challenging but very rewarding! Despite some of the disadvantages our students face, they are an awesome group of kids that come to school with a smile on their face and eager to learn. The faculty and staff are like extended family and we all work together to ensure that our students receive the very best education possible.
