My students are mostly second language learners. They struggle with English because it is not their first language. We are a middle school and sometimes picking up a book is very intimidating for them. Looking at an Ipad is not as scary because technology excites them. We are also looking for interesting books to read. Comics, superheros, they love it! If I can combine that excitement with reading text it is a winning situation!
