My students are very kinesthetic and visual learners that absorb every opportunity to use technology to learn. Unfortunately, because my students live in a low-income, high poverty area of Texas, the resources and funding are minimal. "Our" school does what it can to promote being healthy and staying fit within the budget, however, I believe that with help, we can do more to empower our children with the modern technology to take control of their health and physical fitness. I have challenged my students commit to one hour of physical activity everyday and to become healthy individuals and to combat the negative obesity stats. They, in turn, have challenged me to show them how. Responding to their challenge, I have decided to join them in being the example that I require of them.
