My students have recently experienced a destructive flood that has destroyed many of their homes and personal possessions. In addition, some of the students have very low reading levels and need access to supplemental resources that are engaging to learn the same lessons as their peers. The stress they have experienced because of the flood coupled with the fact that they are struggling to read the grade level materials that we have is causing great anxiety and frustration.
