Because we are a split class of 4th and 5th graders, we have a challenge of getting the most out of our time. While the 4th graders are getting their math and reading lesson, the 5th graders have to work independently. And while the 5th graders have their lessons, the 4th graders work independently. We don't want to be wasting our time with "busy work" or just sitting with nothing to do. So we want to create quality learning centers and games that help students practice valuable math and reading skills independently with the other grade is having a lesson. If our independent time is spent using high quality learning materials, we will keep learning while the teacher is busy teaching the other students.

About my class
