After five years of teaching eighth grade students at an alternative middle school in Maryland, I have transitioned to a comprehensive setting, where I will teach world history and United States history to students in grades seven and eight. As the next school year approaches, I am planning and preparing for this change, a change that excites me and has me looking forward to the successes my students will have throughout the school year. My new school is very large and diverse and will require instruction and materials to be differentiated on a regular basis in order to meet the individual needs of all of my students. It is my mission to make sure the needs of my students are met and to provide a quality education that each of my students deserve. In order to provide this support, I aim to seek the resources necessary to build a quality learning environment, one that lends itself to learning and perseverance.

About my class
