Items listed in this grant will give students the opportunity to work with real equipment and practice hands-on. The microscope will be used to help with laboratory simulations. The epi pens will be used for simulations of epinephrine administration. The suture pads will be used to help students learn how to remove sutures. These are all skills students need to be successful medical assistants. Students learn better when they are actively engaged in the learning process. The items on this list will facilitate that engagement. Medical Assistant Students are learning a skill, so that when they graduate from high school they will be prepared to enter the workforce. This grant is helping provide the necessary equipment for successful students. The items on this list will provide resources for not only students this year, but for several more years to come.
