I teach fifth grade science at a charter school in Delaware. My students are bright and hard working. Many of them have dreams of being doctors, and lawyers, and every one of them wants to get into a good high school and college. Unfortunately, many of my students do not come from the best socioeconomic backgrounds, and they do not have access to computers and the Internet at home. In order for my students to become competitive in the high school and the college admissions process, they need to have a deeper understanding of science content, which can be achieved through the usage of multimedia in the classroom.
