52% of the students at my public elementary school in Louisiana have free or reduced lunch status. The students in my 4th and 5th Special Education class struggle with their emotions and with trying to maintain self-control, but they have so much heart. I am trying to instill a love of learning in these students. By showing them that their hard work can pay off, I am motivating them to work harder than they have ever worked before.
