My students are great, caring, intelligent little first graders in Higginsville, MO. We are a PreK-5 building with 3-4 teachers in each grade level. My awesome first grade students enjoy literacy centers, being "Student of the Day" so that they can help during our Math Meeting, and of course the usual things that first grade students would say...lunch, recess with their friends, and specials! There is never a dull moment with six and seven year olds, which is why I love teaching this grade level. The excitement I see on their faces as they learn to read, do subtraction/addition, and other skills is very rewarding!
