Scholastic's Science World is full of engaging information that is crucial to grabbing the attention of the wide ranging interests in my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classroom. There is only so much time in one day to plan lessons that meet all the standards required in each grade, for all subjects. This magazine reaches across the learning domains and provides structure for combination classrooms. Our tiny school is very fortunate to be located in a remote area with abundant natural resources for students to experience in person. Although we have a small fund set aside for short transportation to local features such as rivers, forests, and waterfalls, we need educational materials to enrich these field trips. Science World meets the multiple standards across the three grade levels with Earth, Life, Physical, and Space Sciences all in one neat package. These bright minds deserve to broaden their horizons and explore the world. Future scientists are about to bloom!
