My 2nd grade students attend a Title I public school in central South Carolina. They are considered high poverty and have very little means; however, they love to learn and desperately want to please their teachers. The school serves 375 students from preschool to 5th grade. Eighty-eight percent are on free and reduced lunch. With a dream of going to college, these students have a tough road ahead of them. They love reading and writing and I hope to increase their love of learning through the implementation of this grant.
