Our school is a K-8 charter school in Kansas City, MO. We serve a large ESL/ELL population. We have a very big Hispanic population, but we also serve many Asian, African American, and Turkish families. We saw a large growth in our student population this year due to the failings of a local school district. These students love working on the computers and enjoy technology immensely! They love to participate in educational games and activities via the Internet as well. Many of the students do not have Internet or computers at home. Thus, they learn the basics of Internet navigation, how to use a mouse and keyboard, and how to create a basic document when they come to my computer lab. These life skills are so vital in today's society.

About my class
