My students attend school in an urban setting just outside of Boston. Many of these children have seen the enrollment grow from 200 - 450 in the past three years. Some classrooms have 25+ students, which can be hard for younger students especially. There are times when children have to work in the hallways because there is not enough space inside the classroom. The school itself is over 110 years old, which poses a challenge when trying to integrate new technology into the curriculum. My students have come from all over the world and speak many different languages. It is rare that English is a home language or a first language here. Yet, my students are always eager to learn and to show off a new piece of knowledge to others. I have the joy of working with all students in the school and together we are always learning and growing.
