I am a special education resource teacher and use both inclusion, where I work with students in their regular education classrooms, and resource, where the students come to my room for extra help. When students come to me I may have a mixture of different grades. This makes individual and small group instruction difficult when students may be working on different skills at different levels. It would also help new students that have not been introduced to technology learn to navigate in a very structured setting. There are also many apps that can give parents direct feedback on skills and classroom behavior such as Class Dojo, Splash Math, and Reading Rocket. My students also need instruction on skills given in many different modes in order to learn. An iPad would help incorporate some of those different learning methods.
