My students are first graders at a Title I school in a rural town in Texas. As a teacher and member of the community I work hard to provide my students with the best learning environment imaginable. I teach reading, language arts, math , science and social studies to 21 students daily. Many of which are English language learners, special education students and at risk students. This group of children as well as all children deserve to have every opportunity to learn about the world around them and I foster this learning in my classroom. One thing that I know about the students that I work with is that they have the drive to work hard and excel in their education as young children. These students look forward to coming to school because they know they are safe and that people there support and care about them.
