I teach in a low income school. Most of our students receive free/reduced cost lunch and are unable to afford even the most basic school supplies. We have a high population of English Language Learners, LD self-contained, and resource room students. I have students who have the desire to learn but do not have the materials. Many of them have very few life experiences outside of school to connect to their learning.
