My goal is to use the Whiteboard to draw graphic organizers and graphic notes to help the students learn the content using visuals. With the whiteboard, I will be able to diagram cause-effect relationships. Using the whiteboard I can draw flow maps and diagrams that illustrate an event that took place and the government reacted to the problem. For example, after the banks began to fail during the Great Depression the United States took a more direct role in how banks would be operated. The whiteboard helps me present this information visually. I have several ELL (English Language Learners) who have just entered the United States so using graphic organizers and notes will help the master not he content, but also the English language. I use a lot of visuals in the classroom for all of my students and now that I'm teaching from home I have lost that ability to use graphic organizers and notes. Using the whiteboard also lets me write standard notes for the students as well.
