My students are wonderful. They are a mixed bag, with different academic statuses and personalities, but they have good intentions and kind hearts. Many of my students are very motivated and enthused about school and learning. They want to attend college one day and pursue their dream career, and are motivated by their family at home to do so. Others may not have as much support at home, and have other priorities aside from school that consumes them. My students attend a school with a very diverse population. We have many different school community builders and events so that students can come together, make new friends, and appreciate one another. Our school spirit is significant, and it shows through our posters around the school, pep rallies, school dances, and lunchtime activities, to name a few. Students who need more academic help are supported by teachers, counselors, and tutoring sessions after school.
