Located in a small, rural town and attending a high poverty school with over 75% on free and reduced priced lunches, the students have extremely limited exposure to resources available to students in larger, more populated communities. The availability of electronic devices is limited by the recent reduction of funding but would provide the avenue for economic exploration for these students. Students in the ALE Program have learning difficulties as well as the inability to experience success in a regular classroom. They frequently exhibit unacceptable behaviors and discipline problems. Over the years these students have shown great potential and have hope for a better life. I want to provide them with the tools to help expand their future and their dreams to enable them to be productive members of society.
