Students will use these books in the classroom. It will help them grow as readers and have a love for reading. Reading is essential and becoming long life learners require building their reading comprehension and reading stamina. These books will be used for independent reading time and at times for modeling skills. Students will be able to answer questions using text base evidence, make inferences and identify themes with these culturally responsive texts. My students will develop reading comprehension by making connection to themselves and the outside world through these materials.
