As an art educator, it is my goal to give my students the safest and healthiest art class experience possible during this ongoing COVID pandemic. Due to many factors such as the highly contagious Delta variant, crawling vaccination rates, no mask mandate, and the fact that many of my students are not yet eligible to receive a COVID vaccine, I feel it is my duty to find a safer way to hold art classes. In art class, it is often necessary for students to be within a closer social distance because of the materials and tools necessary for certain art mediums. If students could create outdoors, I truly believe it could help reduce COVID transmission rates within my classroom. With two large outdoor tents, I would be able to safely hold outdoor art classes for a large portion of the school year. Please consider purchasing a tent to help bring this goal to life. Your contribution will have a direct impact on the health of our community and our youngest (unvaccinated) citizens.
