My students are hard-working, empathetic, and compassionate individuals. They attend a school that strives to inspire students to make positive changes in this world. They also come from an environment that isn't always full of the support they need. Despite pressure and issues related to gangs, violence, drugs, and poverty, our students have managed to survive and thrive, and they make efforts every day to grow and flourish without adding to the toxicity of the world around them. My students pour heart and soul into their education, work hard to help each other, and give in any way they can, even when they don't have much to give. Because of the financial pressures many of my students face, they can't all afford to purchase many of the AP review books that other students can. I'd like to put them on a level playing field with more financially fortunate students by getting them review books so that they too, can succeed on the AP Calculus exam.
