I teach first grade children. If you have children, you know that 6 and 7 year old children are magical. They are excited about learning and reading. They will do anything you ask them, especially if it will improve their skills. Many are beginning to read, and need time to practice their skills. The children spend at least at least 50 minutes a day reading, listening to reading or practicing reading. Much of that time is spent on the floor or in a seat. We are in a low poverty district, however our funds to purchase supplemental equipment has been reduced.
