Normally at this time of year, I focus not only on academics but on the creative side of learning! Knowledge is Important to me. I would love to give my students the materials needed to continue to be as creative as they can while we aren't together. The crayons, markers and paints will allow them a chance to view the world around them in color. The books will give them a chance to explore new adventures with their minds. The Botley robot will allow them to experience the excitement of technology. As a classroom teacher, I like to give my students the opportunity to be creative. Through the art materials, I requested, it will enable me to continue broadening the ideas of my students. During this time in the school year, I like to focus on allowing them to be as creative as possible. My goal for my students, is to be able to create images of the world around them by either researching artists or to use the images they see right outside their homes. I chose the Botley robot, to empower both my boys and girls and advance them in STEAM and to provide an opportunity to use coding to crate a moveable object. My goal for this, is to have students create and test the robot. Also, to allow them to explore science and technology. During the school year, I have introduced my class to a variety of genres. I have always hoped that my passion for reading, was something I was able to share with my class and inspire them to become life-long readers. I choose a few books, so that I can continue to provide them an opportunity to explore with their minds and connect to characters and events.
