I teach at a low economic middle school in Colorado. We have nearly 60% of our students that receive free or reduced lunch. With the move to technology and the push for literacy in our nation it is important that every child receive an education. We have a large majority of students who are reading below grade level by at least 2 grades. Many of these students come from single family homes and environments where the children do not come first. School is the only place where they can bee successful and feel confident in themselves.

About my class
