Our students come from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. They attend four different elementary schools on the south side of the Des Plaines District 62. These south side buildings are made up of a large latino population, followed by various students of a variety of ethnic backgrounds. These students wait until 5th grade to join the instrumental program and come ready and willing to learn regardless of how old their instrument is or what condition it might be in. Parents and families are a great support to these students, which helps them achieve what might not normally be expected in their situation.
