The past few years, I have been incorporating social and emotional learning into my classroom. I felt a big need for this, as I've seen my students struggle with negative behaviors (anxiety, stress, abrupt screaming, etc) because of the academic demands, which include testing! Flexible Seating is the next step to help my students obtain a successful education! My students need to have options, in order to have a successful education. Therefore, I need to give them seating options, in order for them to feel at ease and for them to be in their learning zone. Students need to know that it is okay to feel different and have different emotions at different times of the day. Flexible seating will provide and support social and emotional learning in my class. That is why, wobbly chairs, bouncy balls, and bean bag chairs will support my students!
